PropVisits ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding your data when you use our website and services.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo.
• Property information: details of properties you list, search, favourite, or inquire about.
• Communications: inquiry messages, feedback, and correspondence with our team or other users.
• Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on site, and approximate location.
• Cookies: small files stored in your browser to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure traffic.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the platform and its features.
• Authenticate users and secure accounts.
• Match buyers, sellers, and renters with relevant properties.
• Send transactional emails (inquiry alerts, status changes) and optional product updates.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse on the platform.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as recently viewed properties), and understand how the site is used. You can accept or decline cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings. Disabling cookies may reduce functionality (e.g., you may need to sign in more often).

4. How We Share Information

We share personal data only in the following circumstances:

• With property owners / agents when you submit an inquiry — they receive your name, email, phone, and message.
• With service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, push notifications, analytics) — bound by confidentiality agreements.
• When required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PropVisits, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal and operational purposes. When you submit a verified deletion request, your account becomes unusable immediately. Account records are permanently removed, and uploaded files are queued for deletion. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes.

6. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion using either of these methods:

1. In the PropVisits app or website: Sign in, open your dashboard, select Profile, choose Delete account, request the verification code sent to your registered mobile number, and confirm permanent deletion.
2. Using the public deletion page: Visit our account deletion page, enter your registered mobile number, verify the one-time code, and confirm permanent deletion. You do not need to install or sign in to the app to use this page.

If you cannot access your registered mobile number, or you use a managed builder or staff account, email support@propvisits.com with the subject "PropVisits account and data deletion" and your registered contact details. We will verify account ownership before processing the request. Never send your password or one-time code by email.

Deletion removes your profile, property listings and broker projects, saved properties and searches, reviews, account-linked enquiries and visits, feedback, notification subscriptions, and active sessions. Copies of enquiries already received by property owners and information submitted without signing in may require a separate support request. Account deletion cannot be undone.

7. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential processing.
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to identify and mitigate risks.

9. Children

PropVisits is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the site. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the latest revision.
